Freelancer Agreement

1. Parties & Scope

This agreement is between you, as a Freelancer, and TASKSYY INTERNATIONAL LTD (Company Number: 17088961), registered at 2a Connaught Avenue, London, United Kingdom, E4 7AA ("Tasksyy").

It applies when you create a Freelancer account, list a service, submit a proposal or deliver work on Tasksyy. It forms part of the Terms of Service.

2. Eligibility & Identity Verification

You must be at least 18 years old, or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and legally able to enter into contracts.

You may hold only one active Freelancer account. Renting, buying, selling or transferring an account is not permitted.

Tasksyy may ask you to complete identity verification before you can withdraw earnings, unlock higher limits or request a payout. You agree to provide accurate information and documents when asked.

3. Independent Contractor Status

You provide your services as an independent contractor. Nothing in this agreement creates an employment, agency, joint venture or partnership relationship between you and Tasksyy.

You decide when, where and how you work. You are not required to accept any particular project, you are not subject to a minimum number of hours, and you use your own equipment and methods.

You are responsible for any permits, licences and registrations that your work requires.

4. Service Standards & Listings

Your listings, proposals and profile should describe your services, delivery times and prices accurately.

You should deliver work that matches the agreed scope, on the agreed timeline, and communicate with Employers through the platform.

To support marketplace standards and dispute handling, we ask that listings, proposals, project communications and dispute logs be written in clear English.

5. Deliverables & Intellectual Property

Ownership of deliverables is a matter to be agreed between you and the Employer. Tasksyy does not determine, assign or transfer intellectual property rights in deliverables.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to deliver the work you offer, and that your work does not infringe another person's rights.

Where an Employer rejects a deliverable, the position on ownership and any licence is the one you and the Employer agreed before work began.

6. Payment, Commission & Payouts

Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider, Bachs. By making a purchase on our platform, you acknowledge and agree that your payment details are processed according to Bachs' security guidelines and terms. We do not directly store or process credit card details or sensitive financial credentials on our servers.

Commission: Tasksyy charges a 10% commission on the completed project payment.

Applying for a job: applying for a job normally costs 5 credits ($0.50). Applying for a job is free until 31 December 2026. From 1 January 2027 the normal charge applies. 1 credit is worth $0.10.

Payouts: earnings are paid out through the payout methods Tasksyy supports, subject to the provider's own terms. Withdrawal requests are reviewed and processed once per week. The minimum withdrawal is $20.00 USD. The registered name on your payout method must match the verified legal name on your account.

7. Non-Circumvention

To support the milestone release process and dispute handling, we ask that communications and payments between you and an Employer take place through Tasksyy.

You should not publish, request or exchange contact information, or take payment off-platform, in order to avoid platform fees.

Where technical work genuinely requires credentials, use platform-approved credential managers or limit access to the roles that need it.

8. Tax Responsibility

You are responsible for calculating, reporting and paying any income tax, statutory contributions, permits and business licences arising from earnings you collect through Tasksyy.

Tasksyy does not withhold tax on your behalf except where the law requires it.

9. Sanctions & Restricted Territories

You confirm that you are not a person subject to sanctions, and that you are not located in a territory subject to comprehensive sanctions.

Tasksyy may screen users, refuse or restrict access, and report to the appropriate authorities where the law requires or permits it.

10. Liability & Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify Tasksyy against third-party claims, losses and expenses arising from your breach of this agreement, your infringement of another person's rights, or your misuse of the platform.

Nothing in this agreement limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

11. Suspension, Termination & Appeals

You may close your account at any time, provided you have no active orders, pending disputes or outstanding wallet obligations.

Tasksyy may suspend or close an account that breaches this agreement, the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy.

You may appeal a decision by writing to legal@tasksyy.com within 30 days. A reviewer who was not involved in the original decision will consider the appeal.

12. Governing Law & Local Addenda

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales are the courts of choice, without removing any right you may have under mandatory local law.

Where you work from the United Kingdom, Nigeria, the United States or Canada, local law may give you rights that this agreement cannot exclude. Those rights continue to apply.

13. Changes to This Agreement

Tasksyy may update this agreement from time to time. When we make material changes, we will give reasonable prior notice before they take effect, for example by updating the "Last updated" date on this page and by a platform notice or email, and where required by applicable law we will ask for your express consent.
