Dispute Resolution Policy
Quick Summary
Disagreements sometimes happen between buyers and freelancers, and that's normal. This policy explains how we help both sides reach a fair outcome. Tasksyy is a marketplace, not the party doing the work — we review evidence and make our best, honest judgment, but we can't guarantee a particular result every time.
What's Inside
1. What Is a Dispute?
A dispute usually comes up when:
- A buyer isn't happy with the delivered work
- A freelancer believes they delivered exactly what was agreed
- There's disagreement about deadlines, revisions, or quality
- A payment, cancellation, or refund isn't clear to one side
Whatever the disagreement, we look at the evidence from both sides and try to reach a fair outcome.
2. How to Resolve a Dispute
Talk it through first
Most issues get sorted with a simple conversation. Before anything else, both sides should discuss the issue calmly, revisit the original brief, and give reasonable time for a fix or a resend.
Open a dispute ticket
If talking doesn't resolve it, either side can open a dispute from the order page. Include:
- Screenshots or files
- Chat history
- The original agreement or brief
- A clear explanation of the issue
The clearer the evidence, the faster we can help.
We review it
Our support team checks the original requirements, the conversation history, and the work submitted — including timing and effort. We may reach out to either side for more information.
We make a decision
After reviewing everything, we'll decide on one of the following: a full or partial refund, releasing payment to the freelancer, requesting a revision, or cancelling the order. We aim to be fair and consistent, and our decision on the dispute is final.
3. Refunds — When and When Not
- The work was never delivered
- What was delivered doesn't match what was agreed
- The freelancer goes silent for 48–72 hours
- The freelancer cancels without a valid reason
- The work is copied or clearly low effort
- The buyer simply changes their mind after work has started
- The buyer asks for extra work beyond what was agreed
- The buyer uses the delivered work and then asks for a refund
- The original brief was incomplete or unclear
- The freelancer delivered good, on-brief work
Every case is a little different, so we look at the specifics rather than applying these lists mechanically.
4. What We Expect From Everyone
Buyers
- Give clear, complete project instructions
- Respond to messages in a reasonable time
- Review deliveries within the agreed window
Freelancers
- Deliver original, good-faith work
- Follow the agreed requirements
- Communicate professionally, even when things go wrong
5. Behaviour That's Not Allowed
Can lead to a warning or suspension
- Harassment or abusive messages
- Paying or charging outside Tasksyy
- False claims or manipulating the process
- Threatening a bad review to force an outcome
- Sharing misleading information during a dispute
We take a firm line on this kind of behaviour to keep the platform fair for everyone.
6. Escrow Protection
When escrow is used on an order, the buyer's payment is held securely and only released once the delivery is approved. If a dispute is opened, the release is paused until it's resolved — this protects both sides while we look into it.
Why this matters
Escrow means a buyer's money isn't handed over until they're satisfied, and a freelancer knows the funds are genuinely there before they start. No online system is completely risk-free, but this structure is designed to protect both sides fairly.
7. Our Role — Please Read
Tasksyy is a marketplace that connects buyers and freelancers — we're not the ones doing the work, and we're not a party to the agreement between you. When a dispute comes to us, we review it as fairly and thoroughly as we can, based on the evidence available.
What this means
We don't guarantee a particular outcome to any dispute, and results can vary case by case depending on the evidence provided. To help keep the platform safe, we may hold or release payments, cancel orders, or suspend accounts where needed — always with the aim of protecting genuine users on both sides.

In Short
Talk first, open a dispute if you need to, and give us clear evidence. We review every case fairly and aim for the right outcome — but as a marketplace, we can't promise a specific result every time. Escrow keeps funds protected while we work it out.
