Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, payment disputes, credits, Service orders, Projects, and wallet-related transactions are handled on Tasksyy.
1. Overview
Tasksyy is an online freelance marketplace operated by TASKSYY INTERNATIONAL LTD. The platform allows Employers and Freelancers to connect through Services and Projects.
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the general rules that apply when a user requests a cancellation, refund, reversal, or adjustment involving a Tasksyy transaction.
Different transaction types may have different outcomes. A refund is not automatically available simply because a user changes their mind or because a transaction has been completed.
2. Service Orders
A Service is a predefined offering created by a Freelancer and made available to Employers through the Tasksyy marketplace.
When an Employer purchases a Service, the transaction may create an order and the Freelancer may begin preparing or delivering the agreed work.
Before requesting a refund or cancellation, users should first communicate through the appropriate Tasksyy marketplace channels and attempt to resolve the issue directly.
Before work begins
Where a cancellation is requested before meaningful work has started, Tasksyy may consider the circumstances when determining whether a refund is appropriate.
After work has started
Once a Freelancer has started work, a refund may be affected by the amount of work completed, materials delivered, milestones reached, agreed requirements, and other relevant circumstances.
A refund may therefore be partial, unavailable, or otherwise adjusted where permitted by applicable law.
3. Projects & Proposals
Employers may create Projects describing work they need completed. Freelancers may respond by submitting Proposals.
A Project may involve custom requirements that differ from a standard Service. For this reason, cancellation and refund decisions may consider the agreed scope, Proposal, milestones, communications, work already completed, and other relevant evidence.
Important: A Project is not automatically refundable simply because the Employer decides not to continue after a Freelancer has accepted the work or started performing it.
Where a Project is cancelled before meaningful work begins, Tasksyy may consider whether unused funds can be returned, subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the transaction.
4. Cancellations
Users should request cancellations as soon as they know that a transaction cannot or should not continue.
Cancellation may be considered where, for example:
- The parties mutually agree to end the transaction.
- The agreed work cannot reasonably be completed.
- A material issue prevents the transaction from continuing.
- A user violates applicable Tasksyy rules.
- A transaction appears to involve unauthorized or fraudulent activity.
- Cancellation is required by applicable law.
Cancellation does not necessarily mean that all funds will automatically be refunded.
Tasksyy may consider the status of the transaction, work already performed, funds already released, applicable fees, evidence provided, and applicable law.
5. Refund Requests
Refund requests should be submitted through the available Tasksyy support or dispute process and should clearly explain the reason for the request.
Depending on the transaction, Tasksyy may consider:
- The original order, Project, or Service requirements.
- The agreed scope of work.
- Whether work has started or been delivered.
- Whether the delivered work materially differs from the agreed requirements.
- Messages, files, milestones, and other relevant evidence.
- Whether the parties attempted to resolve the issue.
- Any applicable platform rules or transaction conditions.
- Applicable legal or consumer-protection requirements.
Users should provide accurate information and relevant evidence when submitting a refund request.
Providing false, misleading, or manipulated information may result in account restrictions or other action under the Tasksyy Terms of Service.
6. Completed Work
Once work has been accepted, marked complete, or otherwise treated as completed under the applicable marketplace workflow, a refund request may be subject to additional review.
Completion does not necessarily remove rights that cannot legally be excluded. However, a user should raise genuine issues as soon as reasonably possible.
Tasksyy may consider evidence showing whether the work was delivered according to the agreed requirements.
7. Credits
Tasksyy Credits are platform-use units that may be used for certain marketplace activities, such as eligible Project creation or Proposal submission.
Credits are not a bank account, deposit account, electronic money account, or general-purpose currency.
Credit purchases, promotional credits, usage, expiration, adjustments, and refunds are subject to the terms displayed for the relevant credit plan or transaction.
Where permitted by applicable law, unused promotional or bonus Credits may not be refundable or transferable.
Credits are digital products. They are added to your account immediately after purchase and can be used straight away. For this reason, credit purchases, including Project-posting credits and Proposal credit bundles, are final and non-refundable once the credits have been added, except where a refund is required by applicable law or the transaction was made in error, duplicated, or unauthorized.
Checkout payments for credits are processed by our merchant of record payment partner on behalf of Tasksyy.
If a paid Credit transaction was made in error, duplicated, unauthorized, or otherwise affected by a payment problem, users should contact Tasksyy promptly.
8. Wallet Funding & Withdrawals
Users may pre-fund their account balance ("Wallet") using approved payment methods to easily purchase Services or award Projects on Tasksyy.
Finality & Non-Refundability: All payments made to fund your Tasksyy account wallet are final, non-refundable, and non-withdrawable.
Digital Service Credits Only: Wallet balances represent non-transferable digital service credits valid exclusively for purchasing services, orders, or projects on Tasksyy. Wallet balances do not constitute a bank balance, financial account, or monetary deposit, earn no interest, and do not create a banking relationship.
No Cash Redemption or External Withdrawal: Wallet deposited funds cannot be withdrawn, cashed out, or transferred to another user, bank account, PayPal, crypto wallet, or external payment system under any circumstances.
Order Deductions: When an Employer places an order or purchases a service on Tasksyy, funds are automatically deducted from their available Wallet balance.
Important Notice: By depositing funds into your Tasksyy Wallet, you explicitly acknowledge that deposits are immediately converted into non-refundable, non-withdrawable platform credits valid solely for purchasing services within the Tasksyy ecosystem.
9. Payment Issues
Payments made through Tasksyy may be processed by third-party payment processing partners.
A payment may fail, be delayed, reversed, rejected, or placed under review for reasons including payment-method restrictions, verification requirements, security controls, technical issues, or requirements imposed by the relevant financial service provider.
If a payment appears unsuccessful but funds were deducted from the user's payment method, the user should contact Tasksyy and, where appropriate, the relevant payment provider.
Tasksyy may need to wait for confirmation from the relevant payment processing partner before completing a refund or resolving a payment-status issue.
10. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
A chargeback occurs when a payment is disputed through a bank, card issuer, or other financial institution rather than through the normal Tasksyy support process.
Users should contact Tasksyy first when possible so that the transaction can be reviewed and an appropriate resolution can be considered.
If a chargeback is initiated, Tasksyy may provide relevant transaction information to the appropriate payment or financial service provider in connection with the dispute, subject to applicable law.
A chargeback may result in transaction funds being reversed or placed under review. Tasksyy may also take appropriate action on related marketplace activity where permitted by law and the Terms of Service.
If a user funds a wallet, purchases credits, or orders services and then starts a chargeback or payment dispute in bad faith, Tasksyy reserves the right to suspend or terminate the account immediately. To defend against illegitimate chargebacks, Tasksyy will submit verified records, including IP logs, timestamped account activity, and credit usage history to payment card networks.
11. Unauthorized Transactions
If you believe that a transaction was made without your authorization, contact Tasksyy as soon as possible.
You may also need to contact your bank, card issuer, or other relevant payment provider.
Tasksyy may request information reasonably necessary to investigate an unauthorized transaction, including account information, transaction details, or other evidence.
Where appropriate, Tasksyy may restrict related account activity while an investigation is ongoing.
12. Fraud & Abuse
Refund and cancellation systems must not be used to obtain money, Credits, Services, or other benefits through deception or abuse.
Examples of prohibited behavior include:
- Submitting knowingly false refund claims.
- Creating fraudulent transactions.
- Using another person's payment method without authorization.
- Manipulating orders, reviews, or transaction records.
- Repeatedly abusing cancellation or dispute processes.
- Attempting to receive both a refund and the benefit of the same transaction.
Suspected fraudulent or abusive activity may be reviewed and may result in restrictions, suspension, or termination in accordance with the Terms of Service and applicable law.
13. Marketplace Disputes
Disputes between Employers and Freelancers should normally begin with direct communication through the available Tasksyy marketplace channels.
If the parties cannot resolve the matter, a user may contact Tasksyy support or use any dispute process made available for the relevant transaction.
Tasksyy may review relevant information, including communications, Service descriptions, Project requirements, Proposal details, delivered work, file attachments, milestone logs, and other evidence provided by both parties.
Tasksyy's determination on marketplace dispute escalations is final for the purpose of releasing or refunding held escrow funds on the platform, without affecting any independent legal remedies available under governing law.
14. Refund Processing
Once a refund request for an order is approved by Tasksyy or agreed upon by both parties, it will be processed back to the original payment method or returned to the user's Tasksyy account balance, depending on the original purchase method.
Processing times for external payment providers and card issuers typically range from 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or financial institution.
Refunds are issued in the original currency of the transaction. Tasksyy is not responsible for foreign exchange rate fluctuations, bank conversion fees, or international processing surcharges.
15. Legal Rights
Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any mandatory statutory consumer rights or non-excludable legal guarantees applicable in your jurisdiction.
Where applicable statutory cancellation periods apply under local law, those rights remain fully respected.
This policy functions alongside the broader Tasksyy Terms of Service. In the event of a direct conflict regarding platform rules or financial liabilities, the Terms of Service shall control.
16. Changes to This Policy
Tasksyy reserves the right to update or modify this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time to reflect platform updates, operational changes, or legal obligations.
When revisions are made, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the Tasksyy platform following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
For material policy revisions that significantly affect user rights, Tasksyy may provide advance notice through account dashboards or email notifications.
17. Freelancer Payouts & Withdrawals
A Freelancer's Tasksyy earnings represent funds released following successfully completed and accepted Services or Projects, minus applicable platform service fees.
Strict Account Name Matching Requirement
To comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and prevent financial fraud, the registered name on your financial payout method (Bank Account, PayPal, or local payout provider) must exactly match the verified legal name on your Tasksyy account.
No Third-Party Payouts: Withdrawals to third-party accounts, including relatives, friends, business partners, or unregistered entities, are strictly prohibited under any circumstances.
Verification Holds: Tasksyy reserves the right to request proof of identity, tax identification, or bank statement verification prior to releasing payouts. Payout requests with name mismatches will be flagged, delayed, or canceled until identity verification is completed.
Bounced Payout Fees: If a withdrawal is rejected or returned by a financial institution due to incorrect account details, name discrepancies, or third-party restrictions, any bank reversal fees incurred will be deducted from the Freelancer's account balance.
